Name Contractor Status Agency Program Description
Coordination of Benefits (COB) Prime CMS A program to consolidate activities that support the collection, management and reporting of all health insurance coverage of 45 million Medicare beneficiaries. Born out of the Data Match program, COB has prevented billions of dollars in mistaken payments, helping Medicare pay claims right the first time. Additionally, approximately 700 million Medicare claims per year are routed to the appropriate supplemental insurer for further processing.
Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) Sub CMS A program to help employers and health and welfare funds continue providing their Medicare-eligible retirees with drug coverage which would otherwise be the responsibility of the Medicare Part D program.
Early Retiree Reimbursement Program (ERRP) Sub HHS A program to provide a subsidy to providers of health care coverage to U.S. citizens who retired before they were eligible for Medicare coverage and are still covered under their employer health insurance plan.
Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Contract (MSPRC) Sub CMS A program to consolidate all of the functions and workloads related to Medicare Secondary Payer (MSP) post-payment recoveries into one MSP recovery contract.
