The affiliation between USA and GHI began in 1989 with the production of Medicare Participating Provider (MedPAR) directories, listing providers accepting Medicare patients in Queens, NY. Later, when GHI needed a reliable partner for the IRS / SSA / Data Match project, USA offered our services to print and mail questionnaires to more than one million employers across the nation.
Over the years, the Data Match collaboration evolved to include the projects currently supported by USA - namely, the Medicare Coordination of Benefits (COB) project, which includes sending Initial Enrollment Questionnaires (IEQ) to beneficiaries as well as providing print and mailing services to the Medicare Secondary Payer Recovery Contractor (MSPRC).
For a brief period in 2004, USA also partnered with GHI to perform print and mail functions for the Retiree Drug Subsidy (RDS) established by the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act (MMA) contract.
